Zurich exceeds Protection Distributors Group pledge on advance payments for life customers

Zurich is the latest provider to sign up to the Protection Distributor Group's (PDG) Funeral Payment Pledge to help protection customers with funeral costs.

Zurich has been providing such advance payments for over 15 years and welcomes the PDG campaign to make these payments common practice across the market.   Support available goes beyond the PDG's suggested £5,000, with no monetary limit as long as it is within the sum assured. The PDG has asked insurers to agree to pay up to £5k in advance on all life assurance claims without waiting for probate. As well as funeral costs, advance payments offered by Zurich can also be used to clear any inheritance tax liability or the repayment of outstanding mortgages, loans or credit cards. ...
