Employers must address employee financial wellbeing worries - report

Financial wellbeing should be top of the corporate agenda as one in three employees report feeling 'distracted by money worries', according to a major report.

Metlife's latest UK Employee Benefits Trends Study 2017 found that 60% of UK employees were concerned about their job security during 2016, an increase on 54% during 2015. The increased sentiment was mainly driven by geopolitical uncertainty. Increasingly employees are becoming more concerned about financial security if a principal income earner isn't able to work due to disability or illness.
