Sunlife hires Moneysupermarket's protection head Emma Walker

SunLife has appointed Emma Walker of Moneysupermarket.com to lead its aggregator, digital and customer experience teams.

Walker was formerly the head of protection and non-core insurance at MoneySupermarket.com.

She will leave MoneySupermarket.com and start her new role at SunLife on 5 May 2015. 

The latest appointment follows the announcement that former LV= boss Mark Jones as head of SunLife's protection retail business.

Dean Lamble, director of SunLife said: "I am delighted Emma is joining us.

"She is a huge talent and well respected as an industry innovator, and her expertise will be key in advancing our strategy to bring straightforward and affordable financial services experiences to everyday customers."

He added: "Customers now rightfully expect an easier, more digital experience from financial services - just like they get from retail brands.

"We believe this is what SunLife can offer, and Emma is well placed to lead the transformation."
