The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has cancelled the permissions of independent financial adviser Martin Richard Moseling, trading as Blenheim Financial Services, for failing to act in clients' interests.

The regulator said Gloucestershire-based Moseling had failed to comply with an award made against him by the Financial Ombudsman Service, dated 5 September 2012. It concluded that he had failed to act in the interest of his customers.

The FCA said in its final notice published today: "Mr Moseling's conduct has not met the requirements of Principle 6 (Customers' interests) of the Authority's Principles for Businesses under which a firm must pay due regard to the interests of its customers."

Moseley had not appealed the FCA's decision within the 28 days following and has therefore been de-authorised.

Blenheim Financial Services is listed as dormant on Companies House.

Moseling was director and accountant at the firm, according to business directory Duedil.

He was previously a director and IFA at auxiliary financial intermediary Marshall Consultancy Services, a position which he only held for six months, from October 1998 until April 1999, according to the directory.

Mosely took the helm at Blenheim in 1995.
