Engage Mutual has joined the panel of mortgage and protection network First Complete.
Jon Round, chief executive of First Complete, said the addition to the protection panel would ensure intermediary members had access to over 50s guaranteed life cover to serve the "every-increasing" group of consumers in the market.
He said: "Protection is a priority for us with the growing protection gap and an aging population, our advisers are highly trained to help ensure that should anything befall their clients that finance is one thing that they don't have to worry about."
Karl Elliott, marketing director at Engage Mutual, said the move was a significant development for the mutual, adding: "We have worked closely with intermediaries over a number of years to ensure we can assist advisers in advising clients on protection needs and to meet a growing demand for protection products among older clients."
First Complete will have access to the Yorkshire mutual's Guaranteed 50 Plus Life Cover from November 2012.
The mutual made some changes to the product earlier in the year.
