Platform, Underwrite Me, has added questions surrounding the use of weight loss treatment to its Protection Platform.

Questions are focused on the type of weight loss treatment as well as how long the treatment has been used and what the impact has been. The platform said these questions will allow insurers to make more accurate decisions for those seeking cover. UnderwriteMe said 2.5 million people in the UK are using Ozempic or Mounjaro for weight loss, the Protection Platform has seen 739 applicants disclose taking medical treatment to lose weight.
