UK employees more stressed and more likely to work whilst unwell: Canada Life

Cost-of-living crisis a key factor

Insurance provider, Canada Life, has revealed that 25% of UK employees think the cost-of-living crisis has made them more stressed about their jobs.

Of the 2,000 UK adults surveyed, 18% said work is impacting their home life more than it was two years ago, with 10% stating they now can't switch off from work. Critical illness cover in theory can protect against some of the worst consequences of stress and its impact on mental health. With many providers offering these products, rising stress levels could act as a call to action for many consumers to consider new levels of cover.
