More than 5,000 UK financial advisers urged to lead climate action

Liontrust and Fintel rally behind Net Zero Financial Advisers Initiative

The Net Zero Financial Advisers Initiative, unveiled today (28 November) by climate action platform Net Zero Now, has called for over 5,000 financial advisers across the UK to measure, report, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

Liontrust and Fintel, the parent company of SimplyBiz and Defaqto, are supporting the initiative as founding development partners. The project has come after the UK government set a target for the entire economy to achieve Net Zero by 2050. The launch includes three elements: Industry roadmap: Establishing a standard for Net Zero against which IFAs can report and be measured. Digital platform: A sector-specific digital platform providing a solution for advice firms to calculate, report, and reduce emissions through tailored reduction plans.
