British Friendly reports 72% increase in use of healthcare services following campaign

Including mental health, physiotherapy and virtual GP appointments

British Friendly has reported continued demand for its member benefits services over the last year amid ongoing challenges in the NHS, with a 72% increase in the use of its healthcare services provided by Square Health following a targeted email campaign.

A 10-week member email campaign ran between August and October highlighting British Friendly's benefits, and a total of 199 virtual GP appointments were made using the app during this time, with the average appointment secured within four hours. Skin problems such as moles, joint problems and children's health were cited as the most common reasons for wanting a GP appointment, and prescriptions were issued in 8.6% of cases.
