Kalpana Shah begins presidency at IFoA

To embark on a cultural transformation

Kalpana Shah has started her term as the new president of The Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA), taking over from Matt Saker.

Shah was named president-elect in June 2022, and Kartina Tahir Thomson has now joined as the next president-elect. During her term, Shah will focus on helping the IFoA to become easier to do business with, the new president detailed, and will help the institute to embark on a "cultural transformation" and raise the profile of both actuaries and the organisation so members are "proud to join and don't want to leave."
