Commercial director initially stepped in after previous CEO Jonathon Burton passed away earlier this year

Cash plan provider Health Shield has announced that it has appointed commercial director Courtney Marsh as its new chief executive. Marsh has over 20 years' experience within the financial services industry and, prior to joining Health Shield as chief risk officer in 2010, he worked in Oliver Wyman's actuarial team. During his time at Health Shield, he has worked on the company's response to Solvency II, developing its risk management framework as well as pricing and underwriting guide.
