Long-term disability income increases following years of decline

The number of people covered by employer-led group risk policies (life assurance, long-term disability income and CIC) increased by 378,062 (3.1%), taking the overall total of members to 12.5 million, the Swiss Re Group Watch 2018 has found. Those included within long-term disability income protection increased by 5%, while the number of members covered by death-in service rose by 3%.
