Zurich has reported a 20% increase in applications for critical illness policies during the first 9 months of 2016, with over 30,000 new policies sold during this period.
This increase follows enhancements to Zurich's critical illness product this year and in 2015. During H1, over £30.6m was paid out to 380 customers with critical illness cover with the average payout being £83,336 and the highest amounting to £550,000.
