New editor for COVER

Fiona Murphy will take over as editor of COVER from the end of this month.

Fiona joined Incisive Media, publishers of COVER, on the graduate editorial training scheme in 2012 and for the last two years has worked across both COVER and sister-title Retirement Planner.

She succeeds Paul Robertson from Monday 29th of September. The following week on 2nd October marks the annual conference and awards at the Cover Forum in London.

Lawrence Gosling, editorial director of Incisive Media, said: ‘I'd like to thank Paul who has done a huge amount to build Cover into the leading brand in the UK protection market and we wish him well for the future.

As part of the changes to the editorial team, COVER has also hired a new reporter, Thomas Smith. Thomas has joined Incisive Media's training scheme after gaining extensive experience as the news editor of York University's The Yorker.

He will be writing news on private medical insurance, health, long-term care, adviser issues and protection and can be found tweeting at cover_thomas.
