Simplyhealth opens new Bristol office

Simplyhealth has opened the doors to its new six storey office for private medical insurance in Bristol.

Simplyhealth House is the first building the company has developed and replaces the leased James Tudor House on Victoria Street, which it has occupied for the past 17 years.

James Glover, PMI performance director at Simplyhealth (pictured) said: "We are very proud of our new building, which will provide a much brighter and spacious open plan working environment for our employees in Bristol. It provides a modern base for our private medical insurance operations that gives us the ability to expand in the future and this is an exciting moment for Simplyhealth.

"We're absolutely confident that customers, clients and intermediaries will continue to enjoy the high levels of service that they have come to expect from Simplyhealth. The final stages of the move have been completed over the weekend to ensure full operations from this morning onwards."

Simplyhealth House is built on the site of a derelict building that had been empty for some years.

It's designed to minimise energy use and carbon emissions and will have targets for using renewable energy sources such as solar panels.

Last year Simplyhealth announced that it is to base its entire private medical insurance operation in Bristol, creating a Centre of Excellence to serve customers, clients and intermediaries.

The move to Simplyhealth House does not affect operations in Letchworth, which will remain open as usual until the end of June 2014.
