Friends Prov appoints new corporate benefits head

Colin Williams has been appointed director of corporate at Friends Provident, responsible for the provider's strategy in the corporate benefits market.

He will also manage the integration of the Friends Provident and AXA corporate propositions and continue to oversee the creation and management of the sales and marketing strategy for Friends Provident.

Williams was previously Distribution and Marketing Director at Friends Provident and has over 15 years experience in the corporate benefits industry.

Trevor Matthews, Chief Executive Officer said Williams was "well known among corporate IFAs and employee benefit consultants and has a deep understanding of the corporate benefits market."

His predecessor, Paul McMahon, has left the company to become group marketing director at Aegon.
