Over a third of small-to-medium-sized firms are using flexible working to support staff compared to under a quarter of large firms
Research by GRiD has found that 35% of SMEs with up to 249 employees are combatting absenteeism with flexible working compared to just 23% of firms with staff of over 250 people. The study of 500 HR decision makers also found that 38% of micro business with between one and nine employees use flexible working as a means of reducing absence.
