The Association of Mortgage Intermediaries’ (AMI) annual Viewpoint report for 2023 shows improvements in some areas for the industry in terms of client engagement with protection, but there is still much to be done when it comes to improving how the industry and advisers are perceived.

The Association's fourth annual Viewpoint report, published today (8 November) and produced in conjunction with Royal London and Legal & General, found improvements recorded in consumer attitudes toward the protection industry and advisers compared to previous years. Research conducted among 3,000 UK adults and more than 400 mortgages advisers covered areas including generational opinions towards protection, the value of advice, building trust with consumers, and engaging customers online.
