Orthopaedic is most common reason for second medical opinion followed by mental health

As part of a drive towards encouraging individuals to take greater responsibility for their own health, employers are showing interest in offering access to second medical opinions to their employees as a benefit, according to RedArc Nurses. Since launching its second medical opinion offering with Healix Health Services in January 2017, RedArc has supported 166 individuals with the service. During this period, the most commons conditions for which it has been used for are orthopaedic (31%), mental health (11%), cancer (7%) and neurological (7%).
