Lack of awareness a key factor

Research conducted by GRiD, the industry body for group risk, indicates that staff are not aware of, nor do they understand, the employee benefits offered to them.

The research showed that 34% of employers saw this lack of engagement from employees, with 44% believing they have a "good understanding of all of the health and wellbeing benefits available to them." Of those questioned, 78% actively encouraged staff members to use benefits they provide, 18% of those surveyed leave it up to employees to take the initiative.
