Bupa is set to make significant enhancements to its extranet service, it has been revealed.

Next year, it will launch a fully developed underwriting system in Q2, and then in Q3 it will add the insurer's income protection (IP) product onto its extranet service.

Steve Casey, product manager at Bupa Individual Protection, said the additions are a result of the firm's commitment to develop its basic breadth of coverage.

The developments are currently in the testing stage and between now and the launch date, Bupa will be making 'tweaks' to the system. There are currently a number of IFAs testing it.
