Axa has slashed its protection premiums by an average of 1.5%. The revised rates apply to level life cover, decreasing life cover, guaranteed level life or earlier critical illness (CI) cover and guaranteed decreasing life or earlier CI cover. Iain Mallon, director of protection marketing at Axa, said this was to ensure the protection account remained "competitive" and had "quality covers". He added: "This, combined with our flexible process and professional tele-underwriting service, means we aim to offer a truly market-leading proposition."
