COVER is relaunching its IFA-only website, providing new interactive features such as a product details service. The website also includes a forum for IFAs to exchange views, a directory of related insurance and protection websites, and also a daily news service
Following research among IFAs who actively use electronic information, City Financial Communications, publisher of COVER, has uncovered a need for a dedicated online protection resource
The website can be accessed through the IFAonline website at www.ifaonline.co.uk
It offers an interactive product comparison service, allowing users to produce comparative tables of protection products by sorting using the providers and product features
The tables can be set up using information from COVER's own archived product surveys as well as information from The Research Department
The website also includes an archive of articles from COVER and its sister publications Investment Week and International Investment
The article archive has a sophisticated search engine allowing IFAs to find relevant articles on issues they are interested in by typing a key phrase or term
Also offered on the site, sponsored by Guardian Financial Services and Legal & General, is a table of State benefits with a link to the relevant government departmental websites, such as the Department of Social Security
James Hanbury, director of City Financial Communications, said: "IFAonline is established as the leading portal website for the UK IFA. Following our research among leading intermediaries we are aware that good quality protection news and information is a vital ingredient for this type of web service. We believe the relaunched COVER website, an integral part of IFAonline, meets these needs
IFAs will need a username and password to access IFAonline, both of which are available from www.ifaonline.co.uk
