Members of internet-based IFA network Virtual Net can now get online access to the Aequos research database of protection products.
The addition means members will be able to search the whole market for the most suitable products, using up-to-date information.
Junior Sobowale, chief executive of Virtual Net, said: 'The Aequos system enables IFAs to source all the product information they require at the touch of a button. It will also provide justification reports showing clients why a particular product has been recommended and produce a trail audit which will satisfy all regulatory requirements.'
According to the network, the Aequos system complements its own online compliance engine.
'Intermediaries must be able to demonstrate any recommend-ation they have made was based upon a thorough search of the market place and a proper analysis of the characteristics of the products selected. The Aequos system will allow members to do that,' he said.
