Sick leave due to Xmas parties will cost £110m

Christmas parties will cost British businesses up to £110m this year due to hungover employees taking time off, although this is £10m down on last year, according to Norwich Union Healthcare. The study also found men drink twice as much as women at Christmas parties, 11 units on average compared to five units for women. The daily recommended intake is three units for women and four for men.
