The COVER team spent the last week of February celebrating, after being awarded the Best Trade Publication for Protection at the LifeSearch Awards for the second year running.

The award, which was voted for by LifeSearch's advisers, was handed out at a ceremony held at the Hiscox Arts Café, London.

While COVER was successful at the awards, Axa managed to sweep the board after winning six awards, including Best Overall Provider and Most Improved Provider, from 11 nominations in nine categories.

One voter commented: "During the past 12 months, this company has become a serious protection provider. It has improved its service, underwriting, claims, products and pricing, and if it continues to improve, who knows where it'll be this time next year."

Legal & General also won two awards for Best Service Provider and Best E-commerce Provider, while Aegon Scottish Equitable, Bupa and Pioneer Friendly all picked up one award each.
