A COVER poll has revealed that four out of five IFAs believe that legislation such as the Disability Discrimination Act and forthcoming health and safety regulations will lead to more income protection (IP) sales. The online survey showed 78% of advisers thought policy sales would be boosted by legislative changes, while only 22% expected the income protection market to remain static. Many respondents said the new regulations should increase employer awareness of their obligations regarding the healthcare needs of their employees.
