Legal & General joins CIGNA to combat absence

Legal & General has teamed up with CIGNA Healthcare to collectively manage its group income protection and staff absence costs.

Jane Dale, director of group risk at Legal & General, said that it intends to enable employers to manage both short and long-term absence. CIGNA will manage the Independent Absence Management service, which aims to identify and reduce levels of absence.
