Mutual PMI provider Manor House Healthcare is to launch a new healthcare cash plan on 1 April as an additional feature on its group PMI scheme.
The product, called Cash Plus Benefits, has benefits including £105 for optical treatment over two years, £80 a year for dental care and £12 a night in patient hospital benefit.
Cash Plus also allows cash to be claimed on hospital day case surgery, recuperation following hospitalisation, chiropody and health screening.
An allergy testing benefit has also been included following a number of referrals under the PMI scheme, a feature which is not usually included in cash plans.
Sally Carter, marketing and communications manager at Manor House Healthcare, said: "Most schemes include at least 21 benefits, but we decided to hone this down to eight key benefits that our members will use most. We wanted the plan to complement our existing service.
"Treatments such as physiotherapy, chiropractice and osteopathy are already covered under our PMI scheme, so we wanted the money to go towards treatments that would not always be covered."
To receive the cash benefits members will have to pay an additional flat rate premium of £1.75 per month. Cover includes children, while all pre-existing conditions are excluded. The plan is not available through IFAs.
