PatientChoice has launched a new corporate health insurance product, which it hopes will help firms manage absence levels.
The product, called Priority, is based on the insurer's hospital treatment plan, and is expected to cost just £1 a week. It provides cover for 60 common operations and medical procedures that frequently lead to time off work, such as slipped discs and hernias.
Stuart Scullion, head of sales at PatientChoice, said: "In addition to price, the product is attractive because it works for the employer as a sickness absence tool."
Priority is underwritten by Legal & General.
