IFA portal, Assureweb, has overhauled its new business service to make the technology process easier for its users. The decision follows the portal's calls for technology providers to develop simpler propositions if they wish to succeed in the IFA market.
Users of Assureweb's new business service can now produce a comparison of providers and refine this to add on provider specific benefits, options and commission styles as well as obtain a client-specific key features document and apply electronically.
The move follows Assureweb's call for greater focus on developing services that better meet the needs of users.
The portal said recent research carried out by the Financial Technology Research Centre revealed that the IFA sector could save £71 million a year by using technology. Charles Bryant, chief executive officer at Assureweb, called for providers to change many of their complex systems: "It is about time the industry became more end-user focussed by offering something far more usable that places the IFA at the heart of the proposition."
