Legal & General is making it easier for IFAs to sell group risk products by introducing a range of new benefits to its IFA website.

The improvements include quotation viewing and online facilities which will provide access to standard request forms including claims enquiries and amendments to existing schemes.

All requests are sent direct to the group risk team ensuring a speedy response.

IFAs will be able to access group risk literature online, such as claims forms, health questionnaires and direct debit instructions. The IFA simply downloads the documentation required before printing it off for clients.

It is hoped the changes will speed up the flow of information, improve accuracy and prevent documents being lost en route.

There is also a new section on the site that will hold answers to the most frequently asked questions.

Jane Dale, director of group risk at Legal & General said: "Use of email has increased rapidly and we receive almost all our requests in this way. We are continually asking IFAs what they want, and the reply is always to make life easier it is much easier for them if they can get information online rather than waiting for the post."

Dale added that interest in the IFA website was not confined to larger IFAs. "We have recently seen a big increase at the smaller end of the IFA market," she said.
