Neuroscience and mental health practitioner joins Simplyhealth, Punter Southall Health and Health Assured representatives
Matt Janes, a neuroscientist and mental health practitioner with a particular focus on stress, anxiety and depression, will join a panel of industry experts for our next webinar Don't tick the box: be mindful on Thursday (16 May).
As well as carrying out extensive studies in neuroscience, psychology, mental health, functional medicine and heart rate variability - including a recent study revealing the health damage of the snooze alarm - Matt Janes in 2018 published Thrive, an online course which teaches how to achieve and retain mental fitness by regulating the autonomic nervous system.
He will join Simplyhealth director of corporate, Pam Whelan, Punter Southall Health and Protection's Kim Horsfall and Nicola Jagielski, associate director (clinical services) for Health Assured, for a live webinar discussion hosted by COVER editor Adam Saville.
With the strapline ‘Taking responsibility for mental health' and to coincide with Mental Health Awareness Week, the panel will explore what employers should be doing to make mental wellness as much of a priority as physical wellness within workplaces - and as a long-term wellbeing strategy rather than as a ‘tick box' exercise.
What tools are available to help keep people happy and healthy at work and how can employers provide genuine support strategies built on core human values such as empathy, understanding and openness?
Find out on Thursday at 11am. If you have not already, please register your free place and tune in HERE.
