A non-clinical absence occurs when an employee is not clinically ill, but may be absent due to various circumstances, often related to social factors. In the last few years, we've seen a rise in the incidence of non-clinical absences. Non-clinical absence, particularly stress-related absence, is a challenge that can be hard for employers and employees to navigate but, whilst non-clinical absence isn't covered under GIP, employers can look to their insurer for education, support and guidance in working through the implications and practical solutions.  Supporting through work-related s...
