Fairer Finance launches PMI product ratings with four providers awarded 5-star rating

Ratings designed to help consumers choose a good quality PMI product

Fairer Finance, the consumer group and rating provider, has launched a range of private medical insurance (PMI) product ratings, with AXA, Bupa, The Exeter and Vitality among those getting the highest scores.

The ratings are designed to help consumers choose a good quality PMI product, but also give brokers an insight into what are independently judged to be the best products on the market. Fairer Finance has assessed the products and awarded a 5-star rating to those with a set of features it deems most customers will need and expect. To make sure the ratings have real value, the bar for top marks is high, with no more than 15% of PMI products given five stars at the start of every year, and often far fewer.
