Head of protection Mark Jones exits LV

LV= said it would not replace Jones' role but anticipated making a further hire. 

An LV= spokeswoman said: "After four years leading the refresh and development of LV= protection propositions, Mark Jones has decided that his next career phase will be outside of LV=.

"During Mark's time at LV= we have won a number of awards for our products which reflects the contribution that Mark has made. We wish him every success in the future."

She added:"Mark's former role will not be directly replaced but we anticipate making a further senior hire, strengthening the team and reflecting our ongoing commitment to the protection market."

Jones is the latest departure from LV= who recently announced the exit of its former managing director of protection Iain Clark, who was replaced by Myles Rix. 

Meanwhile there have been high profile changes at fellow protection insurer Friends Life.
