Prudential believes its PruProtect offering could be Britain's first 'consumer-engaged' protection product.
Discussing its new offering, Sammy Rubin, chief executive of PruProtect, said the provider is looking at "changing the rules of the game" and adding real innovation to the market.
Based on Prudential's Flexible Protection Product, launched last year, PruProtect also has the Vitality points system tagged onto it. The scheme was previously only used by the firm on its health business.
"This way we cannot only offer a competitive price, but also a system that will motivate people to look after their health," said Rubin.
