HSA has launched a group private medical insurance (PMI) package, which provides unlimited consultations and diagnostic testing as standard.
The package, called Personal Medical Plans, aims to give employers flexible, tailor-made cover to meet the individual needs of their staff.
HSA, which is already established in the healthcare cash plan market, has designed its PMI offering with a modular approach. The package contains a set of modules that can be mixed and matched by the employer to meet particular objectives, such as reducing absenteeism.
From the core product, employers can choose modules to build a unique plan, selecting from the following three levels of cover: a surgery plan to cover non-life threatening conditions, unlimited therapy treatments and cover for cancer and heart conditions.
Employers can also choose to provide just the core product of unlimited diagnostic testing and consultations, allowing employees to choose further modules of cover on a voluntary basis. The core product, called module one, costs £11 per adult and £5 per child per month.
"HSA has introduced into the private medical insurance market a new type of easy to use, easy to understand product. We are cutting through the market with a customer offer that fits the user, not just the provider. This gives buyers a real choice and sets HSA apart from the conventional and often poor offerings competitors provide," said Julian Evans, head of sales at HSA Personal Medical Plans.
