City Financial Communications, publisher of COVER, Investment Week and Mortgage Solutions, is merging with Timothy Benn Publishing, the company behind Post magazine, Professional Broking and Reinsurance.
The new company, City Financial Media, will have a combined portfolio of four weekly and seven monthly titles in both the business-to-business and consumer markets.
It will also have a strong presence online with an established range of websites including IFAonline, Moneyxpress, Postmag, Investorsweek and Re-world.
Tim Weller, founder of City Financial Communications, is to head the operation as chief executive, while Roger Michael, managing director of TBP, is to be the managing director of the new company.
Weller said: "The two businesses combine the best of breed market leading publications in both the general insurance and retail financial services markets and this merger creates a great opportunity for new product development."
CF Media will seek an initial public offering in due course.
