Ex-broker business development manager at FirstAssist, Mark Bassett, has joined the Private Health Partnership (PHP). Bassett will take up the role of UK account executive at the specialist private medical insurance (PMI) brokerage. PHP is also looking to gain authorised principal (AP) status from the Financial Services Authority so that it can form partnerships with introducers who choose not to become an AP. Jan Lawson, managing director of PHP, said it would be pleased to hear from interested intermediaries. "Through an introducer's agreement, we can help them look after their existing clients, pay a share of the renewal commission and enable them to still offer PMI to new clients," she said.
