Exeter Friendly Society is launching an assault on the corporate private medical insurance market with a product aimed at firms that want to cover between three and 25 employees.
As previously reported in COVER, the product, Exeter Professional Care, is targeted at professional partnerships and firms such as accountants and solicitors.
The product offers two levels of cover. Exeter Professional Care - Elite provides cover for hospital charges and specialist fees as well as for physiotherapy, osteopathy, chiropractic, private ambulance and home nursing costs. Exeter Professional Care - Choice offers cover for major and essential hospital charges, related specialist fees and outpatient consultations.
Both options offer either moratorium underwriting or underwriting with a full medical declaration. There are also options for excesses of £100, £250 and £500 for each member of the scheme.
A worldwide annual travel insurance option is also available.
Robin Payne, general manager, business development, at Exeter Friendly Society, said: "We have a long track record of providing cost-effective individual PMI cover and our research demonstrates that there is a demand for a sensibly priced group product backed up by excellent service and administration."
