Norwich Union has launched a 'Future Adviser Programme'. The programme is designed to encourage entering the advisory profession as the Retail Distribution Review (RDR) proposals set higher professional standards and change remuneration structures. Norwich Union's research in its regular RDR Barometer adviser survey shows 24% of advisers were thinking of retiring or leaving the profession. Steve Gay, distribution development director said: "Firms find it difficult to recruit high calibre people, yet undergraduates are often unaware that the financial advice profession is crying out for new entrants."
