Scottish Equitable Employee Benefits has announced that it is to join forces with BCWA to provide corporate PMI and dental cover as benefits on its Employee Protection Menu.
The scheme is currently the only packaged product available in the group market that enables employees to choose their own benefits.
BCWA was chosen from a range of PMI providers because of its service standards and commitment to the IFA sector.
Scottish Equitable will be using BCWA's Preferential Plan which offers comprehensive inpatient and outpatient cover including all necessary hospital charges, consultant fees and necessary tests, psychiatric treatment and physiotherapy. In addition it will cover nursing home fees, private ambulance costs and will provide overseas cover and a 24 hour medical helpline.
Costs can be controlled using excesses up to £500, creating savings up to 40%, or through a choice of hospital scales.
The dental plan being used is Confident which aims to provide high levels of reimbursement for all necessary dental treatment, including accident and emergency.
Commenting on the announcement Iain Horn, head of operations at Scottish Equitable Employee Benefits, said: "BCWA offers high quality specialist underwriting and claims expertise, which complements Scottish Equitable's strength in the employee benefits market."
Meanwhile Richard Esler, commercial manager at BCWA, said: "The IFA market is being offered a product range that is unique and gives companies the ideal solution to providing a highly competitive employee benefits package."
This news follows the appointment of AIG Europe to provide accident insurance and business travel insurance within the package.
