BUPA International is looking to boost its presence in the international private medical insurance market with the launch of a new website for intermediaries.
Through the site 'Doing business differently', IFAs will be able to transact most of their business online with access to BUPA's intermediary guide, sales tools and online quotations.
Accessed via a quick search facility, the intermediary guide includes information from cover in the US to new subscriptions, while a resource section offers details on all schemes, marketing literature and sales aids.
IFAs will also be able to view their commission payments online and obtain details about BUPA International for clients. The site also includes detailed global advice on individual countries such as the political climate, currency and vaccinations required.
Bill Ward, general manager at BUPA, said: "Our brokers will be able to click on to their own personalised database via a simple password, get instant access to products, prices and policy information and check on their sales performance and commission payments."
Intermediaries that are considering broking BUPA International products will also have access to the site. In the future it hopes to develop a facility that will allow customers to claim online and network hospitals to receive claim settlements online.
The company is also currently offering a new corporate video to aid sales.
Ward said: "The strategy we have announced will substantially enhance the quality of service we provide to customers and our business partners."
