A new consumer-facing mag-azine ' Guide to Protection ' has been launched by Scottish Provident in a bid to increase awareness of protection issues and encourage people to get cover via a financial adviser.

The magazine, written by the COVER team, includes the latest MORI statistics on attitudes to protection and a range of features, including information on life assurance, critical illness cover, income protection and long term care insurance.

The introductory guide also includes comment on the importance of seeking professional advice when taking out protection.

A copy of the magazine is free to all readers with this issue of COVER. Advisers can order additional copies to send out to clients by phoning Scottish Provident's order line on 0141 944 3904.
