Legal & General (L&G) has extended its electronic trading systems for its range of protection products. IFAs and business partners using the provider's eProtection Choices range can now benefit from an automated underwriting service. The solution is similar to its Online Term Assurance (OTLA) service and enables advisers to collect customer data and complete applications offline. Applications can then be submitted online to L&G. Developments have also been made to allow advisers to capture more information on medical conditions and hazardous pursuits at the point of sale. OTLA has also been added to the providers' back office system, Adviser Office 2.
