Advisers are increasingly optimistic about the relevance of protection insurance to their business in the immediate future, according to the results of a survey released by L&G.
Those responding to the survey said that current sales levels for the second quarter had increased by nearly 10% while they expected those levels in the next six months to increase by over 20%.
However, those advisers felt that the current opportunities to discuss protection with people remained static and that this would barely increase over the next six months.
Martin Noone, IFA sales director at L&G, said: "It's very encouraging to see that IFAs believe their protection sales are better than three months ago and that they are finding it slightly easier to convert potential sales into actual sales. All three of our future indices are up, which means that advisers are predicting greater commercial success in six months time."
