New healthcare and assistance provider, FirstAssist, has added Swiss Re's medical and vocational rehabilitation service, ReIntra, to its existing rehabilitation services.
ReIntra, along with established Pro-Care and HealthFirst services, will be brought together to create a single entity called FirstAssist Rehabilitation. The company hopes that its focused approach to rehabilitation will benefit individuals, employers and insurers and improve back-to-work ratios.
The agreement with Swiss Re will enable FirstAssist to strengthen its place in the market. The provider already employs a large team of case managers, nurses, doctors and counsellors, and believes the addition of ReIntra will further stabilise its place in the industry.
Discussing the most recent arrangement, Tim Ablett, chief executive at FirstAssist, said: 'We have entered into an agreement with Swiss Re where we are now running its rehabilitation operation. Now all of its business is directed into FirstAssist in the main and we can push to grow our business.'
