More women are applying for life cover, according to a study of 250,000 people by Click.
The study revealed that the number of female applications rose from 9% in March 2006 to nearly 35% in March 2007.
The results correlated with research conducted by the Office of National Statistics on socio-economic trends in 2006, which suggested shifting socio-economic factors appear to be having an effect on the rise of women taking out life cover.
