The website is aimed at both consumers and advisers and has been sponsored by Skandia, Scottish Provident, BUPA, Liverpool Victoria, UnumProvident and Canada Life International.
It provides a range of information including statistics, definitions of medical conditions and details of all providers offering CI policies.
Joseph hopes the site will improve awareness of CI and encourage greater use of IFAs. 'We want consumers to go through IFAs ' that is the most important thing.'
The IFA section of the site enables advisers to compare 141 products from 49 providers through a detailed selection procedure.
Sales and marketing tips are also offered as well as detailed information on industry issues for those new to the CI market.
